CSC 2023 Pilot Achievements & Awards
Club achievements in the National XC league:
- Cumbria finished 11th in the XC league out of 39 clubs with 1985 points
- 2022 – 13th place (out of 39) with 1660 points
- 2021 – 5th place (out of 38) with 2163 points
- 2020 – 4th place (out of 32) with just 811 points
- 2019 - 9th place (out of 40) with 1735 points
- 20 club representatives in the national XC league up from 13 last year)
- Highest placed Cumbrian in National XC league: Tom Hodgkin (45th 543.9 pts)
- Cumbria High Scorers were, Tom Hodgkin, Phil Kew, Keith Paterson, John Westall
2022 CSC XC
Club XC league 44 entrants = 288 flights and 9739 points (last year we had 35 pilots, 223 flights and 5805 points). We promised a prize for the most flights entered…Phil Kew 35 (same as last year!)
- Winner of league: Richard Meek 570 points
- Highest placed pilot in Cumbrian league flying a sports class Phil Kew
- Best scoring XC flight from a Cumbrian site: Richard Meek (211.4 pts) Flat Triangle Cautley Spout.
- Cumbrian Winter Warrior: John Hamlett 57.7 points.
- Weekend Warrior: Phil Kew 284 points
- 1st female pilot Sarah Eilbeck 60 points (30th overall)
