Lookout for Stolen Gliders and Equipment

Paul Gannon - 29/01/2009

One of our CSC Members living in Workington has just been the victim of a burglary. I would urge you all to please be on the lookout for anybody that may be trying to sell on the equipment, be it here in Cumbria or elsewhere in the country. If you come across anything suspicious, such as somebody clearly unconnected with the sport trying to sell you something, please consider very carefully before parting with cash. Likewise, keep an eye on the small ads and auction sites.

Worse still, if you see some complete wally trying to fly when obviously incapable, it could be somebody that's either nicked the gear or has bought it and is trying to teach themselves how to crash (or it could be me having another bad day!).

The equipment to look out for is :-

Independence Dragon 3 Paraglider Red, Black and White Size L 2006 Model
Gin Genie 3 Harness Size Large
Grey /Black Sup air Flying Suite (L)
Silver Lazer Jetstream Helmet Size L
Flytech Vario 4005 in Purple Case and Bag
Sky Reserve Size XL
Grey Airwave Magic Bag
Grey Black Pack

Swing Arcus 3 Size 28 Paraglider in Blue and White
Sup Air Altix Red and Black Size Large 2006
Grey Black Pack

If anyone is approached with or comes across any item fitting description advertised (thieves they can be that stupid), Richard really would appreciate any information no matter how insignificant.
Please contact Richard on 07912327905 or 01900 62882 or Workington Police.

Thanks for reading!
